This week - the top five most memorable storylines from the Beano’s ‘The Bash Street Kids’.

5)The one where their classroom gets flooded and they do cool things like sail around, snorkel and dive in it.
4)The one where they go to Africa and there’s native kids just like the Bash Street Kids except they all have bones through their noses - I hope they’ve stopped that now.
3)The one where they play hide and seek and Smiffy thinks that because he’s covering his eyes nobody sees him and no one wants to seek Pug cos he’s so ugly.
2)The one where they try and cure Pug of ugliness - does it work? Does it fuck!
1)The one where Teacher has a book of alternative teaching methods, and he says stuff like (to Toots) “Go stand in the corner and don’t think about orange penguins” and Toot can’t stop thinking of orange penguins and TEACHER WINS FOR ONCE!! Hurrah. Not that I’m a teacher fan, but he should get to win once, right?
Notable exception: The one with Olive and her cooking, and... something happens.
